The BS127E and BS145E water baths combine precise thermostatting with reciprocating (horizontal) shaking. This kind of motion suits cultures and reactions in which the sample should be gently but continuously agitated at a constant temperature.
Safe operation
Both models have double protection: against exceeding the set temperature and against running with too little liquid in the tank — in that case the power is cut off. This matters for longer, unattended cycles where water evaporation could damage the heating element.
Capacity and equipment
The models differ in tank capacity (27 and 45 litres) and heating power (1600 and 3200 W). A drain tap for quick emptying and a handle ease operation, and optionally a roller platform for bottles and flasks and a perforated platform for Erlenmeyer flasks are available.
