EDX3000 XRF spectrometer

A precise XRF spectrometer with an electrically cooled Si-PIN detector and spot-measurement camera — resolves white gold, measures electroplated coating thickness and screens for RoHS compliance. Custom standards and calibration curves.
- Electrically cooled Si-PIN detector with enhanced resolution
- Built-in camera — precise spot measurement of rings and chains
- Resolves difficult alloys, including white gold
- Coating thickness measurement and RoHS compliance testing
- Custom standards and calibration curves in the software
Where a simple carat tester reaches its limits, the EDX3000 takes over. Its electrically cooled Si-PIN detector with improved resolution separates the components of more demanding jewellery alloys — white gold above all — and picks up small admixtures of other metals in the alloy.
Measure exactly where it matters
The built-in camera shows the examined spot live, so you can position the measurement point precisely even on a thin chain, a ring setting or an engraved pendant. This solves the classic problem of analysing small, irregularly shaped jewellery — you measure exactly the fragment you care about.
More than gold
The EDX3000 reaches beyond jewellery: it measures electroplated coating thickness and screens materials for RoHS compliance. The analytical software lets you add your own standards and build new calibration curves, so the instrument grows with your laboratory’s needs.
XRF analysis remains fully non-destructive — from raw material to finished product. If you are considering the even higher resolution of an SDD detector, compare the EDX3000 PLUS; we are happy to help with configuration.
