The EDX3300S is a portable wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (MWD-XRF) spectrometer, designed to control sulfur content in fuels in line with the ASTM D7039 standard — the standard test method for sulfur content in petrol and diesel.
MWD-XRF technology for low sulfur
Using MWD-XRF (Monochromatic Wavelength Dispersive XRF) technology makes it possible to achieve low detection limits for sulfur. This matters where regulations require sulfur to be determined at very low levels — in the quality control of engine fuels and petroleum products.
The supplied leaflet also lists chlorine analysis. Element coverage and calibration should be confirmed for the specific sample.
Compact and mobile
The small dimensions and design of the EDX3300S allow installation in a mobile laboratory and work directly in the field. This lets you control sulfur content close to the sampling point, without transporting samples to a benchtop laboratory. For laboratory sulfur analyses with a vacuum chamber, the EDX3200S is intended. The EDX3300S PLUS also measures sulfur, chlorine, phosphorus and silicon.
