The Explorer is a latest-generation portable XRF spectrometer with excellent measuring parameters, suited to both the laboratory and field analyses. It is a single hardware platform available in four calibrations — from RoHS control, through alloy identification, to geology and soil testing — so the same handheld analyser is matched precisely to the task.

Explorer family variants

The model is matched to the material and application; the hardware is shared, and the standard libraries, calibration and software decide its purpose:

The base, universal model is the Explorer 5000 — and it is the one that can optionally be fitted with all the other analytical modules (RoHS, ores and geology, heavy metals in soil, plus special calibrations). One instrument then covers many tasks, and its analytical scope expands as needed — without buying separate analysers.

Modern optics and software

The Explorer is fitted with the latest SDD detector of increased spectral resolution, an HD camera and improved analytical software using standard-curve algorithms and standardless analysis (FP). A key advantage is the ability to analyse light elements without a helium or vacuum atmosphere, which simplifies fieldwork.

Performance and flexibility

The device has a 9000 mAh battery giving 12 hours of continuous work, replaceable without switching the instrument off. Special versions are available with a rich set of calibrations — RoHS, jewellery, catalysts, toys, electroplated-coating thickness — and, optionally, measurement of samples at up to 300°C.
