Sand baths heat vessels through a layer of sand that spreads heat evenly and allows work at high temperatures — up to 400°C. They are the solution where a water or oil bath is not enough and vessels have an irregular shape. Sand is a safe, dry heat carrier that copes well with vessels of different sizes. The range includes sand baths reaching 300°C and 400°C, with microprocessor temperature control.
