EQM-402 mixing ball mill

The EQM-402 opens the XRF sample-preparation chain: first it reduces the material to a fine powder, then it blends in a binder to form a uniform mix ready to be pressed into a pellet. It handles small feeds of varying hardness — from brittle to semi-hard — up to 50 ml, closing the whole cycle in a few minutes.
Grinding down to single micrometres
Both chambers can grind in parallel, so a starting grain of around 0.8–1.5 mm drops below 10 µm after just 1–4 minutes. The finer the powder, the more repeatable and faster the XRF reading — and once you swap the chamber charge, the same mill blends the binder into the prepared material.
Control and chamber mounting
You drive the run from a touchscreen that stores up to 5 of your own programs with freely set parameters. Chambers clip in quickly and tool-free, and matching the balls to feed hardness and target grain takes a moment. The prepared powder is then pressed in the PC-15BS manual press or the EQP-110 semi-automatic press, and at higher loads — in the EQP-30 press.
