Some XRF and LIBS determinations call for careful sample preparation if the result is to be repeatable and representative — above all with mineral samples, which must first be homogenised and then formed into a disc with a flat, smooth surface free of cracks and dust. The EQP-110 was built precisely for turning out such uniform pellets in series.

For manual, small-batch sample preparation, the PC-15BS press is intended; for higher pressures (up to 30 tonnes) — the EQP-30 hydraulic press.
