SM-series vertical cutting mills for fast reduction — speed up to 30,000 rpm and a chamber volume of 300–400 cm³. The SM450C model with a water jacket cools the sample, protecting heat-sensitive materials.

The SM-series vertical cutting mills reduce samples quickly and effectively thanks to a high rotational speed of up to 30,000 rpm. It is a solution for preparing homogeneous samples from soft and medium-hard materials when a short milling time matters.
Three models and different chambers
The family includes the SM-450, SM-450L and SM-450C, differing in chamber size (300–400 cm³) and maximum load (150–200 ml). The larger chamber of the SM-450L lets you prepare a bigger sample in one cycle.
Cooling sensitive samples
The SM450C model has a water jacket that cools the milled sample and lowers the temperature inside the container. This matters when a temperature rise during milling could damage the material — for example biological samples or those containing volatile substances. For high-throughput continuous work, the horizontal CM-series mills are intended. Ask for a quote.
