Polarimeters

EnviSense polarimeters are optical instruments that measure the rotation of the plane of polarised light by a solution of an optically active substance — from which you determine a sample's concentration, purity and density. The range covers a manual half-shadow polarimeter, a convenient semi-automatic model with a touchscreen, and fully automatic photoelectric series P polarimeters, also in FDA-compliant versions for pharmacy. We will match the instrument to your type of analysis and required accuracy.
Polarimeters — available models

PLRM-4 circle polarimeter
The manual PLRM-4 circle (half-shadow) polarimeter measures the rotation angle of the plane of polarised light precisely — a 589.44 nm monochromatic sodium lamp, a ±180° range, a 0.05° vernier reading and x4 magnification. Supplied with 100 and 200 mm tubes.
- Monochromatic sodium lamp, 589.44 nm
- Measuring range ±180°, vernier reading 0.05°
- x4 eyepiece magnification for precise setting
- 100 and 200 mm polarimeter tubes included

PLRS-200 semi-automatic polarimeter
The PLRS-200 semi-automatic polarimeter has a 5.6" colour touchscreen and a 589 nm LED source — four measurement modes (optical and specific rotation, concentration, sugar on the ISS), ±0.02° accuracy and 100-result memory. 100 and 200 mm tubes and USB as standard.
- 5.6" colour TFT touchscreen
- Four measurement modes, including sugar on the ISS
- ±0.02° accuracy, 0.005° resolution
- Long-life 589 nm LED light source

Series P automatic polarimeters
The series P automatic polarimeters (P810, P850 and the Pro versions) use photoelectric optical-rotation measurement — 0.001° resolution, ±0.01° accuracy and a 589.3 nm sodium lamp rated for up to 100,000 h. The Pro models meet FDA CFR21 Part 11 for pharmacy.
- Photoelectric, automatic readout on a touchscreen
- 0.001° resolution, ±0.01° accuracy, 0.002° repeatability
- 589.3 nm sodium lamp rated up to 100,000 h
- P850 with built-in Peltier temperature control
