Refractometers

EnviSense refractometers measure the refractive index — a property characteristic of every substance, from which you can identify a compound, assess its purity or determine sugar concentration on the Brix scale. The range covers simple, reliable Abbe refractometers with an eyepiece reading and advanced digital automatic refractometers with a CCD detector and data logging. We will match the instrument to your accuracy and type of analysis.
Refractometers — available models

Abbe 2W refractometer
The Abbe 2W laboratory refractometer, with two eyepieces and 22x sample magnification, measures the refractive index and sugar concentration on the Brix scale. For transparent and semi-transparent liquids and for solids — precise reading of the light–shadow boundary.
- Two eyepieces — comfortable viewing of the measuring field
- 22x magnification of the sample under test
- Measures refractive index (nD) and Brix sugar concentration
- For transparent, semi-transparent liquids and solids

Abbe WYA refractometer
The classic Abbe WYA refractometer, with a single eyepiece and a digital thermometer, measures the refractive index and sugar concentration on the Brix scale. It accepts a thermostat and works across 0–70°C. For transparent and semi-transparent liquids and for solids.
- Measures refractive index (nD) and sugar on the Brix scale
- Single eyepiece with a scale for direct reading
- Built-in digital thermometer
- Thermostat inlet — operation across 0–70°C

Automatic A630 and A670 refractometers
The automatic series A refractometers (A630 and A670) have a CCD detector and a 7" touchscreen — refractive-index measurement across 1.3000–1.7000 nD, accuracy to ±0.0001 and a 0–100% Brix scale. Built-in temperature control, 4 GB memory and software compliant with 21 CFR Part 11.
- CCD detector and automatic measurement, free of human error
- Range 1.3000–1.7000 nD, accuracy to ±0.0001 (A670)
- Brix scale 0–100%, accuracy ±0.1%
- Built-in semiconductor temperature control
