XQM planetary ball mills

XQM planetary ball mills for very fine reduction — four sample-processing positions, dry and wet grinding and a final fineness around 0.1 µm. Speed up to 670 rpm and continuous operation for long grinding cycles.
- Final fineness around 0.1 µm
- Four sample-processing positions
- Dry and wet grinding of various materials
- Speed up to 670 rpm, continuous operation
- Six models (XQM-2A to XQM-16A) at 0.75–3 kW
XQM planetary ball mills are the most advanced grinding method in this family — they reach a final fineness around 0.1 µm, far finer than classic roller mills. The planetary motion of the vessels gives the grinding balls high energy, effectively breaking down even hard materials.
Four positions and two grinding modes
The XQM mills have four sample-processing positions, letting you run several processes at once. The unit supports both dry and wet grinding, adapting to the nature of the material. A speed of up to 670 rpm and continuous operation suit the long cycles needed to reach a very fine granulation.
XQM family variants
Beyond the standard models, the family includes versions for special tasks. The computerized variant (XQM‑T series) runs the process from a touch screen — you can program the grinding time (1–9999 min), cyclic reversal of the rotation direction, and store and replay programs, and it scales up to 100 L jars. The mini glove-box version (XQM‑0.2S) grinds in a protected atmosphere — under vacuum or inert gas — which is essential for air- and moisture-sensitive materials such as battery precursors. For heat-sensitive, elastic and volatile samples there is a cryogenic variant cooled with liquid nitrogen: the low temperature stiffens the material and stops it caking during grinding.
A wide range of applications
The family includes six models (XQM-2A to XQM-16A) at 0.75 to 3 kW, chosen to match the sample size. The XQM mills are used in geology, mining, metallurgy, electronics, building materials, ceramics, chemical engineering, medicine and pharmacy, and environmental protection. For less demanding grinding the QM roller mills are enough. Write to us.
