A stirred mill is a different league from classic ball mills — it works only wet and targets the finest fractions. Instead of rotating the whole jar, it rotates an agitator immersed in a bead-filled slurry. The huge number of contact points and intense shear take you down to sub-micron and nano fineness that dry grinding cannot reach.
Wet grinding and dispersion
This is the tool wherever fineness and slurry uniformity matter: pigments and paints, printing inks, coatings, ceramic slips, battery materials and pharmaceutical preparations. A temperature-controlled circuit lets you grind viscous and heat-sensitive media too, without overheating them.
Bead selection and where it fits
The grinding media is the key to the result — the finer the beads, the lower the achievable size.
